Dam : Ribbons & Lace - MRG

Garth Vader

Garth's first cria has arrived! A bay black, female clone of himself. By the end of 2006, he will have three more cria born, and so far, her has three more on the way for the spring of 2007! Add your girl to his date list!

Does your girl swoon when she sees long eyelashes? Here is her man! Garth has come into his own. He's a gorgeous, tall, young, macho herdsire. His fiber is dense, soft and seems to have more crimp and coverage with each year of growth. Check out that histogram!! The blanket fiber is true black until it turns golden at the tips by the sun. His dam is grey; both rose and silver. He has rose grey half siblings via both his sire and dam! That says to me that he has a really good chance of producing rose grey himself.

Garth's sire is Peruvian, but was exported to Australia and then was imported to western Canada. A breeding to this male will definately add new genes to your herd as well as improve fleece quality. His fiber analysis is one not often seen in a dark colored adult. Yarn from his fleece has been bought by locals as well as those from far away....most recently 5 skeins were sent to Finland!

Location : Tyner, NC
Color : Medium Silver Grey
Sire : CPeruvian Silvio - MSG
Dam : MFI Mercury - MSG
Breeding Fee : $1450

Silver Beech

Grey genetics throughout! Here is a young male, a chip off the old block of his well known sire, CPeruvian Silvio, one of Magical Farms premier herdsires. As Silvio is described in the lastest herdsire catalogue, he is "extremely dense, with flawlwss conformation and a perfect bite". Silver Beech carries on his sire's gorgeous fleece; finely crimped, very dense, and with phenomenal coverage. The tips have bleached to a light grey but it is medium grey closer to his body.

His dam is also grey, MFI Mercury, who is out of the well known Silver Bullet II. Both Silver's sire and one of his half siblings, the well known My Peruvian Fire N Ice, have thrown predominantly (about 90%!) grey or black cria. Other reknowned half brothers include more herdsires at Magical Farms: MFI Scimitar and Peruvian Sky King. Looking to add density, coverage and a very good chance for grey in your herd?

Silver is over 2 years old now and he has his first cria due in mid June 2006. Add your girls to his date list! Fiber samples sent on request.

Results are in! 2005 VA State Fair, 1st Place, 2 yrs and above full fleeced grey males (>2 inch fiber growth since shearing) . Judge's (Ruth Inglefield)comments to include: wonderful density and coverage, consistant and finely crimped fleece wherever she looked (hip, shoulder, blanket), perfect conformation and bite.
